Well, it's another work meeting for me. This time in San
Francisco. Thy situated me in the heart of Union
Square. I am staying till Sunday, even though the people
who is sponsoring the meeting is only willing to pay for one
night. Total cost for the additional two nights is $420 out of my
wallet. It's too bad I couldn't find anyone to go with me this
meeting. It was either too expensive to fly for people or my friends were
too busy :_(.
Flew in from San Diego around 12:50 pm via United Airlines and we
arrived early! Upon arriving, read a little bit, took a
nap. Then headed over to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
or SFMOMA as the people of San Fran likes to call it. It should
have taken me 20 minutes to walk there, but I got lost and it ended up
taking me one and a half hours instead. But it was well worth the
walk (plus I stopped on the way for coffee and a delicious piece of
baklava which made me very happy). Went into Metreon, spent about
$100 in books, spend a little time sitting in the garden enjoying the
peacefulness and soaked in some vitamin D from the sun, then circled around the
block a few times before finding the museum.
It's always fun to see work of arts from modern painters and
photography. I wish I can take pictures of the more interesting
work of arts, but photography is forbidden in the galleries...the art
is absurd, but it's art.
Then I pig out at dinner. It was buffet style...mingled with the
people who is paying. Had a delicious salad, pasta, beef
tenderloin, some giant pecan tart, and a slice of tiramisu...plus two
glass of wine and a coffee followed by a short walk.
Uploaded some pics of San Francisco in the pics gallery.
Gonna sleep off the food now.
More tomorrow :o)
